What is Managed WiFI?

No longer can your tenants and prospects depend on poor WiFi as more and more people begin to work and play from home.

When tenants sign up with the cable company individually, their WiFi networks begin to fight against each other for the airwaves. This is known as 'unmanaged WiFi'. The access points, aka. 'APs', that your residents connect to is their only way to connect their devices to the internet.

At this point, a lot of different factors play a role in how well the signal is between a tenants' AP and their devices. The location of the AP, it's quality, other neighboring APs and more affect a tenants' WiFi experience. So, since the tenant has only one AP that they can connect their devices to, their devices have to deal with the low signal, which slows down their experience and creates that buffering logo we all dread.

Now, herein steps a property-wide Managed WiFi network. Implementing one network property-wide instead of hundreds improves the tenant experience drastically! Instead of a device struggling to keep a stable connection with a distant AP, the device senses the closest AP to it and maintains a solid internet connection without the user even knowing it. The convenience of this is a great addition to the amenities your property provides.

In turn, tenants enjoy blazing fast speeds on their devices no matter if they are on their couch, sitting by the pool, or pumping iron in the gym.
